A young mugger who was high on a cocktail of amphetamine and cocaine dragged a defenceless pensioner along the ground as she desperately clung on to her handbag containing pounds 350 in pension money.

Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court heard that Michelle Burman, 22, from Tonypandy, only ran off when the bag’s handle snapped.
But two elderly women, aged 72 and 61, ran after Burman and sat on her until police officers arrived.
